Research paper writing help- body part

When you are writing any type of essay for your instructor, the body paragraphs are one of the most important parts of the paper. It is within these paragraphs that you provide the proof, points, and arguments that you will use to support your thesis from your introduction. The body of the paper is also where you take on the arguments against you topic and point of view. It is the bulk and meat of your paper and it has to be strong and be able to communicate to your reader effectively. Here are several tips to help you write the body paragraphs of an essay.

Stick to what your topic sentence has started.

The lead sentence of each body paragraph needs to present the focus of that paragraph. It should let the reader know what you are going to talk about within that paragraph. It is a guide that can help you as you write the succeeding sentences. Avoid wandering from your topic sentence so your essay stays concise and to the point. You want it to be easy to read.

Keep the paragraphs short.

No one enjoys reading massive paragraphs that go on and on. As a general rule, a paragraph needs to be a minimum of five sentences and the maximum is usually set around eight. You can go longer if need be but you do not want them to get too long because they can become hard to read through and follow. This is hard for many students so this becomes an exercise in being concise and to the point. Avoid any extra points and sentences and cut out the unnecessary words. Skip anything that doesn't make a direct impact on your topic.

Maintain transitions to keep things moving.

To reach this goal, you should end the last sentence of the paragraph in a way that leads well into the next paragraph. Then you will need to start the next one in a way that picks up from where the last one left off and then continues on to the next topic. Make sure you end a paragraph in such a way that it logically leads to your next idea and point. This helps the essay flow and makes it easier to read.

With these basic tips in mind, you are ready to start writing your essay. Remember that the body of the essay is the bulk of the paper and needs to be able to support your topic.
